Rafael Andrade trained as a photojournalist at the Universidade Federal do Paraná and spent seven years covering news for a regional paper in Curitiba before founding Dusk Montage in 2017. He is obsessed with the quality of light in the forty minutes before sunset, which his colleagues at the paper found impractical and his clients now find indispensable. He reads a lot of Sebastião Salgado interviews, keeps a film camera in his bag for personal work, and makes a genuinely good espresso. He is based in Curitiba and travels for sessions without complaint.
